MathCON 2018 Finals Day of the Event


In order for your student/child to participate at Finals, your student/child must have received an invitation and confirmed attendance by March 23, 2018. Please check the list AND log in to your account to confirm and verify participation.

Rubik’s cube competition:

2×2 Rubik’s cubes will be provided for the competition. They will be available for sale after available for sale at the concession stand.


  • MathCON 2018 Finals will be held at the University of Illinois of Chicago’s Forum in Chicago. The address is 725 W Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60608. It is centrally located among many popular restaurants and attractions. Click here for more information about accommodations and attractions.
  • The written test has 50 questions and the score is out of 300. If a tie occurs, the student with higher score on the online test will be placed first. If the online score is also a tie, then we will compare the time it took each individual to complete the online test.
  • MathCON Finals written test questions require ingenuity and insight, but little technical knowledge beyond grade level mathematics and includes problems of varying degree of difficulty that enables all students to be equally challenged.

O’hare Airport (14.5 miles)

Public transportation is accessible and goes directly downtown.

Midway (9.8 miles)

Taking the cab from Midway to UIC will be the most convenient.
